Internet Surfers affected by ‘Wilfing’ Syndrome

‘Wilfing’, an acronym for ‘What Was I Looking For’, is a state of irrelevant web surfing where a person surfs the Internet for so long that he or she forgets what they were searching for.

Millions of users lose significant amounts of time, often company hours, aimlessly surfing the Net. And though they usually begin with a serious search, they find themselves distracted by pop-ups, looking up weboids, and Internet shopping.
